Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS: S-Class of the Future
As the name implies, the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS is the concept of a new model in the EQ line of Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles, being the equivalent of Class S electric cars. From this point of view, we can see in the Vision EQS from today the lines of the future Calsei S model, the concept design represented in Frankfurt, especially mature, almost ready for mass production.
Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS is made on the basis of a new modular electrical platform, which bears the internal name EV2. The transmission consists of two electric motors, one for each deck, which together make up a maximum power of 350 kW (about 475 hp) and a generous torque of 760 Nm. In this configuration, the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 4.5 seconds, which can reach a maximum speed limited to 200 km / h.
100 kWh lithium-ion batteries are supplied by a subsidiary of Daimler Accumotive and provide autonomy of 700 km, according to the European WLTP cycle. Charged from a 350 kW fast DC station, the Mercedes-Benz EQS can reach 80% charge in less than 20 minutes.
The grille is framed by Digital Light, each of which has four modules with holographic lenses.
